Instructions For Beginners Yoga

In the ancient era people in India were concerned with growing their mental and spiritual strengths. This led to sadhanas which was basically the starting point of yoga. But, as time changed, people’s requirements changed. Now along with mental and spiritual strengths people are looking for physical strengths too. And here the yoga is proving to be equally helpful. Yoga is said to be an overall developer. A person practicing yoga experiences a stronger, body, mind and spirit. Though yoga is good and beneficial it also imposes a lot of rules. Hence, people learning beginners yoga will benefit if they learn to keep some points in mind. Like other exercises yoga is also not done on a full stomach. But whereas most of the other exercises demand that there should be a gap of at least two hours, yoga demands that four to five hour gap is ideal for practicing yoga. And the ideal time for practicing yoga seems to be early morning.

There is no need for warm ups when performing yoga. Although a person learning a beginners yoga in a yoga class will feel some stiffness in the body, but regular practice of different asana will take care of this stiffness and soon he/she will start feeling supple and flexible.

But if that person is experiencing more than slight pain in his/her body specifically in the abdomen, chest or back region while doing a yoga asana, then that asana should be immediately stopped, and the person should consult a doctor for it.
