Yoga Classes

Yoga is not just a healthy exercise of mind and body, but it is a way of living for many an individuals. Many types of illnesses that have found no cure with the medical sciences have been proven to be rectified and overcome in the yoga classes. This is the reason why yoga classes have found so much adulation in the West too. Now many yoga gurus from India hold their camps or yoga classes and teach thousands of ardent students all across the world.

Having a history of over thousand years, yoga has benefited the mankind through several centuries. There is a mention of yoga in the ancient “Upanishads” and the “Puranas”. But, it was in the “Yoga Sutra” composed by Patanjali about two thousand years ago that the yoga found a systematic base. And this basic treatise is responsible for the spreading of the fame of yoga in the whole world.

Today, yoga is practiced by millions of individuals from across the world. The yoga classes are more sought after than any other physical exercise classes. Whether aerobics or gym or any other fitness regime, they all come secondary to the yoga class. The reason is that while these other forms of physical exercise classes just concentrate on giving you a good physique, yoga takes care of your other ailments too. Its Pranayam or breathing exercise ensures that a better supply of oxygen reaches the various body parts which helps in a better and improved functioning of those parts. This also works towards removing the body toxins leaving you feel fresh and energetic. The various yogic pose taught in a yoga class gives a person a more supple and flexible physique at the same time they take care of may of the ailments and diseases. And this is not achieved by any other forms of exercises.

Yoga is not stagnant. Even though yoga is thousands of years old, it still has an air of freshness in it. It is adaptable and ready to embrace change with time. This is the reason why various yoga classes have introduced various accessories to help their students perform better and learn an asana in a shorter frame of time. These accessories come in the form of yoga balls, yoga mats, pads, cushions, yoga bags etc. Recent times have also seen an on burst of stylish yoga clothes. Hence, yoga is not about an ancient form of art but it has donned a trendy new look to help the people who are practicing it.

And not only accessories, but yoga classes have invented new modes of yoga too. For example there is Bikram yoga where the temperature and humidity has been experimented with so as to provide the correct temperature and humidity condition to gain a faster result. There are some forms of yoga that has a pinch of aerobics in it. Hence, we see that though the Indian sages still perform the basic forms of yoga, but the new generation comprising of ordinary people worship his trendier forms of yoga.

It is up to you to decide what type of yoga class would suit you best. But one thing is sure, whatever yoga you choose, you are definitely going to benefit from it.
